October, something old and something new

Something old... Fog again.
And in October it means... quiet before the storm... we have 70+mph gusts... or something... all that fog was blown.

They were enjoying themselves, bit of worms, bit of grain... now... they are so so hiding... poor things, had to go gather them up...

you know when 10 pound rooster is flying over they yard (not purposely mind you :) ) you've got wind... rooster is fine, just scared and hiding under chicken house like ... I'm NOT going out there...

Floating covers are holding... added more logs

 here is the wind...
and that clearly was not there before...

The morning was nice 0 wind.
Like this

there is horse somewhere there in the fog... maybe... there has to be someone in the fog :)

So went to the old kitchen garden to take some close ups after the snow

Carrots are covered, parsnips were not and they look like nothing has happen
And asparagus is fine, turned out I have 2 female plants with berries.

All the tomato jungle is cleared up.

Onions and garlic are fine, need to plant more garlic for next year
sorel under covers is good as new
Here is covered carrots, and some of strawberry patch

All that cleared up vegetation from the garden is making something new in the orchard.

New permaculture cluster with peach tree (that was the request) and some grapes. Kind of like that...

First layer is all the garden clean up greens before the freeze, second older wood chips
it will be lined with logs
 Perspective.

 shape.
