My orchard in rain

My BTE orchard benefits from the moisture.

some of the trees need work as not on all the branches are corrected, not all of my jugs were good enough to hold the branches and correct spindle shape, I'll need a different wind resistant method

this is how we get there, my muddy road from past years is all fixed and can handle marge heavy trucks with wood chips.
 closer

that's BTE over concrete, and it's not doing badly at all

right above the concrete is this now, would not know...
This is BTE wind block, did not cut the grass for autumn yet. Will drop all the seeds right there.

spiral garden benefiting bees and native insects

perspective of orchard and BTE over concrete, keyhole and spiral (front, not visible because zucchini decided to do a second round, ok, go for it...
you see, dry season makes our prairie native grass solid brown, and yet I have some green too

more acidic chips to cover problem south-east area

now not only our property does BTE, here is some prep to restore depleted soil on another lot

Some trees in windblock had to be replaces and they made it through summer, replaced 3

Some caragana planted at the end of May did not like it
And this one with no irrigation planted in April
wild life, spiders are good, they next to marked irrigation zone valve box

salsafy is an amusing wild carrot of the desert, that one dries off 100% and re-grows in autumn with the first rain

wind block close up. Cedar doudled in height
Desert sun in rain :), ok fog :)
